Magic Flight Launch Box Vaporizer Review

The Magic Flight Launch Box is unique in the world of vaporizers. It’s probably the smallest, stealthiest vaporizer you can buy, and it is powered by a single AA rechargeable battery. As a result, it doesn’t require butane or an electrical outlet to use. Because of its reasonable price (usually less than $100 on Amazon) and my personal good results using it, I’d say the Magic Flight is the best portable vaporizer you can buy.

First of all, this thing is tiny – small enough to fit in your pocket. It works very quickly – the Magic Flight is ready to go literally within seconds. Each charge of the battery is good for about 10 draws from your vaporizer, enough to make you and a friend feel pretty good. After each draw, you simply shake the box around and it’s ready to go again.

The Launch Box vaporizer comes shipped with two NiMH AA batteries and a battery charger. Although the batteries take about 8 hours to recharge, I personally ifnd that I don’t need to recharge them very often. I don’t think you need a separate rechargeable battery set, but you can get one online for about sixteen bucks. Remember that the unit does NOT work with a regular Duracell AA battery –  only batteries rated 2000mAh and higher will work.

User Reviews

The Magic Flight has received highly positive vaporizer reviews from tokers who have purchased and used it, and I’ve had great results with it myself. Over at the Grasscity forums, there’s an entire 7-page thread dedicated to the Magic Box. Users love the speed of vaping, the reasonable price, and the lifetime warranty. A couple of notable comments stand out:

“This is an amazing little vaporizer. When I say little, I mean LITTLE. It is in fact, tiny. Yet it’s built very well. It’s also very simple to use. Load, pop in battery – wait literally 2 seconds, and start drawing. Beautiful vapor in an instant. It’s also completely silent.”

Another user broke the Magic Box while he was vaped, but the company replaced it:

“i dropped the wand and it smashed lol… but i got my replacement wand and it’s been smooth sailing since then.”

One user on the Grasscity forums was kind enough to provide a guide for using the Magic Flight:

1. Your material should be ground up nicely with no stems and stuff inside. The consistency should be that of regular kitchen sugar or salt, in order to get  the best hits.

2. Get your herb into the trench carefully. I use the brush it came with, because sometimes herb can get sticky (duh)

3. I spend a couple of seconds tapping the box gently after loading the herb to make sure it’s shaped nicely with no loose gaps and stuff. When your trench looks nice and neat, put in the fully charged battery.

4. Wait just a few seconds before inhaling. I usually wait for 2 seconds on a fresh battery, 3-5 if its a used battery. You’ll be able to tell after using it a few times.

5. Inhale slowly until your lungs are about eighty percent full. You should feel a nice warm vapor coming through. If you can’t, inhale slower. If it’s too hot, inhale faster. Eventually you’ll find that perfect amount of pressure to use.

Arizer Solo Vaporizer Review

The Arizer Solo vaporizer is the newest entry in the rapidly changing market of discreet portable vaporizers. Just like Arizer’s other vapes, the Solo has received very positive reviews around the web; in fact, it’s probably the best-reviewed new vaporizer in the past year.

Arizer solo vaporizer reviewLike the Magic Flight, the Arizer Solo is a portable, battery-powered vape. However, that’s where the similarities end. The Solo is not really a budget vape - it’s more of a high-tech unit that shows an attention to quality. There is definitely some clever engineering that went into its design - it has a LED display and manual temperature controls. The attention to design was successful: this unit gives some of the most massive vapor clouds that can be obtained from any vaporizer.

Physically, the unit has the shape of a small can of Red Bull. The external parts are made from aluminum and the heating element is ceramic. It comes shipped with two glass mouthpieces for drawing up the vapor.

The Arizer Solo draws its power from an internal lithium-ion battery; reports say that it holds a charge for at least 4 hours. The user can control the temperature of the vape using small buttons on the unit; it can be set at intervals from 1-7. The Arizer comes with a guide that indicates what actual temperature corresponds to each setting. Arounds the web, many users indicate a preference for a setting of 3 or 4. Setting 3 corresponds to 190° C (365° F), and the temp rises in 5 degree intervals. The max setting of 7 is 210° C. The Solo takes about 60 seconds to reach vaping temperature; each bowl should be good for about 10 minutes of use.

Arizer Solo Reviews

Nearly every review for this unit is positive. In particular, buyers rave about the thick clouds of vapor it delivers. One user on Amazon wrote:

“this things works great, much better than some of the other handheld vapes I have tested. i’d say i got about 100 times as much vapor out of this than the same amount in a vape genie. this thing hits really hard.”

Once this vape is started, it can be used for 10 to 15 minutes on a single bowl. The charge lasts at least 4 hours, and then the unit must be recharged with the wall charger (included). This makes the Solo an ideal vape to bring on a road trip.

Although this vape was originally quite expensive, the price has come down quite a bit. It’s currently retailing for under $200 on Amazon. To see the current pricing, head over there now: Arizer Solo Vaporizer.
